Tech trends we should be aware of
In case you haven’t been keeping up with the latest developments in telecommunications, we’re looking at a jump from smartphones to chip implants in about a decade. That’s right — instead of carrying your phone around in your pocket, you’ll be carrying it around inside your body.
If that sounds a little bit too sci-fi for you, don’t worry—you're not alone. In fact, there’s a lot of skepticism about whether or not this technology will ever really take off. But whether we like it or not, it seems like this is the direction that things are headed. And if that’s the case, then we can fully expect to see 7G technology focused on this particular aspect of wireless connectivity, and sooner or later, we’re going to have to accept that our phones are going to start getting under our skin.
But let’s recap and have a look at possible scenarios. While 5G represented just an enhancement of performance, 6G will represent a technological shift, integrating 5G with satellite networks for global coverage, and focusing on bringing artificial intelligence to the mainstream, which will be the starting point for 7G developments.
using satellites and technologies, which may allow us to connect previously unconnected dots, enabling:
• AI and next-generation computation capabilities with quantum computing; massive improvements in imaging, data analytics, and location awareness.
• IOT device management: the high speed and low latency of 7G will allow for better management of the Internet of Things devices. This will have huge implications in medicine, smart homes, transportation, energy usage, and smart distribution.
• Health monitoring: 3D image synthesis will create images of organs and systems inside the human body. This will allow for better detection and treatment of health issues.
• Disaster preparedness: 7G will improve communication during disasters. This will allow for faster response times.
• Facial recognition/expressions: 7G will be able to capture micro-expressions that are undetectable to the human eye. This will have implications in fields such as security, crime control, marketing, and customer service.
• High-fidelity virtual reality, which would make the metaverse possible in ways we are unable to imagine for now.
So, get ready for 7G—it’s going to change the world as we know it and it could come faster than we think! …Possible rollout dates:
• Rollout 6G, 2027–2030
• Rollout 7G, 2032–2035
• Rollout 8G, 2045–2050: By then, our knowledge of technology and the universe, including alien life, may have evolve drastically and very likely will come a new tech and no a continuation of 7G, allowing new ways of communication even with yet unknown intelligent life.
